The Mackenzie Delta and the areas along the Mackenzie River contain large reserves of natural gas.

The three major gas fields discovered to date in the Mackenzie Delta by the Project owners can produce about 800 million cubic feet of gas per day. This is enough gas to heat all the homes in Yellowknife every day for a year.

Natural gas liquids (NGLs) such as butane and pentane, will also be produced with the natural gas. The estimated production rate for NGLs is between 12,000 and 15,000 barrels per day.
