Mackenzie Gas Project proposes to develop natural gas fields in the Mackenzie Delta of Canada's Northwest Territories and deliver the natural gas and natural gas liquids to markets in Canada and the United States. The Project consists of five major parts:

• three natural gas field production facilities - Taglu, Niglintgak, and Parsons Lake
• a gathering pipeline system
• a gas processing facility near Invuik (the Inuvik area facility)
• a natural gas liquids pipeline from the Inuvik area facility to Norman Wells
• a natural gas pipeline from the Inuvik area facility to northwestern Alberta
