Imperial Oil Resources Ventures Limited, on behalf of the Mackenzie Valley Pipeline Group, retained Gilbert Laustsen Jung Associates Ltd. (GLJ) to prepare a study of future gas supply for the Mackenzie Gas Project. The primary objective of the study was to provide an assessment of the economically recoverable gas resources and deliverability in the region to support construction of the Mackenzie Valley pipeline and Mackenzie gathering system.
The time frame considered for development of resources for this supply study was 25 years from the projected on-stream date of November 1, 2009. Production forecasts were prepared for a period of 50 years from the effective date of the study, May 1, 2004.
The report provides forecasts of natural gas for the general area to be served by the proposed Mackenzie Valley pipeline.
