Many regulatory boards and agencies need to review plans
for the Mackenzie Gas Project. The four phases of a coordination
process proposed by the responsible regulatory agencies are:
- Preparation
- Preliminary information package and applications
- Joint environmental impact assessment panel hearings coordinated
with regulatory hearings
- Completion of regulatory processes
To make this process easier, these groups have created a
Cooperation Plan. They have agreed to work together to make
the environmental assessment and regulatory processes for
the Project more efficient and effective.
A copy of the Cooperation Plan can be obtained by contacting
the National
Energy Board.
